Coral IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)
Coral IVF involves leveraging the reproductive cycle of corals by collecting their eggs and sperm, which are typically released during annual mass spawning events at the ocean’s surface. These gametes are fertilized in a laboratory to develop larvae, which are later transplanted onto damaged coral reefs.

- Process: During mass coral spawning, usually on full moon nights, eggs and sperm float to the sea surface. These are collected using special floating nets or skimmers.
