Green Hydrogen

Green hydrogen is a universal, light and highly reactive fuel — generated through a chemical process known as electrolysis. This method uses an electrical current to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen in water. In this process electricity is obtained from renewable sources without emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Green Hydrogen Production: Core Technologies

Green hydrogen is mainly produced using electrolysis, which splits water (H₂O) into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) using renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro).

  • Oldest and most mature technology.
  • Uses alkaline solution of potassium hydroxide (KOH) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as the electrolyte.
