MNRE Revises Module Efficiency Norms for Off-grid Projects
On 6th May 2025, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) revised the minimum efficiency requirements for solar modules under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
Key Revisions Made
Applicability
- These changes are applicable to off-grid solar power projects and applications, including solar lamps, streetlights, fans, and similar applications, where each solar module deployed have an individual capacity of less than 200 Wp.
Exclusion
- Solar-powered agricultural pumps
- Rooftop systems
