350th Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur

  • He is honored as ‘Hind ki Chadar’ for shielding the religious freedom of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
  • His martyrdom in 1675 was a direct response to forced conversions during the reign of Aurangzeb.
  • He was executed at Chandni Chowk, where the historic Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib stands today.
