8th Session of International Solar Alliance (ISA)
On 28th October 2025, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the opening plenary of the Eighth Session of the International Solar Alliance Assembly (ISA) in New Delhi, today (October 28, 2025).
- The ISA launched the SUNRISE initiative to promote a circular economy in solar energy through recycling, innovation, and sustainable management of solar waste.
- A dedicated programme under One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG) was introduced to develop regional solar interconnections across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Sixteen Small Island Developing States (SIDS) signed an agreement with ISA and the World Bank for joint solar procurement and ....
