Androth
‘Androth’, second of the eight ASW SWCs (Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft), being built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, was delivered to the Indian Navy on September 13, 2025 at GRSE, Kolkata.
- It also holds the distinction of being the largest Indian Navy warship powered by a diesel-waterjet propulsion system.
- The vessel is equipped with:
- One RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launcher (12-tube mortar system),
- Two triple 324 mm lightweight torpedo tubes (generally firing indigenously developed Advanced Light Torpedoes).
- For close-in defence and patrol, each ship is armed with:
- One 30 mm naval gun, and ....
