Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)
- Delhi’s AQI entered the ‘Poor’ category in October 2025, prompting the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to activate Stage-I of GRAP across NCR to curb further deterioration.
About GRAP
- GRAP is a pre-emptive and emergency framework to control air pollution in Delhi-NCR.
- It was mandated by the M.C. Mehta v. Union of India.
- It was notified in 2017 and is implemented by CAQM in coordination with the MoEFCC and state governments.
- It provides a graded, time-bound response based on AQI levels.
