Himalayan High Altitude Atmospheric and Climate Research Centre”
- In April 2025, the Union Minister of Earth Sciences inaugurated the first-ever “Himalayan High Altitude Atmospheric & Climate Research Centre” in the elevated region of Nathatop, located in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The station is located at the Himalayan High Altitude Atmospheric and Climate Research Center of the Central University of Jammu.
- The station will focus on studying climate phenomena in the Himalayan region, which is highly sensitive to climate change.
- The climate change station was inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on 8 April 2025.
