Successful Test of Pralay Missile

In July 2025, India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) carried out two consecutive successful tests of the indigenously developed ‘Pralay’ missile from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island, off the coast of Odisha.

  • During the trials, the missile struck designated targets at both its maximum and minimum ranges with high accuracy, successfully meeting all mission objectives.
  • These trials were part of ‘User Trials’, which assessed the future operational requirements of the Indian Armed Forces.
  • The tests were monitored by senior scientists of DRDO, representatives of the Indian Air Force, the Indian Army, and the defence industry.
