Successful Test of the ‘MRSAM’ Air-Defence System

In April 2025, DRDO and the Indian Army jointly conducted four successful trials of the MRSAM system.

    • The tests covered four distinct scenarios — interception of a long-range target, a short-range target, and engagements at high altitude and at low altitude.
  • All tests were conducted from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island (formerly Wheeler Island) off the coast of Odisha.
