About Festival
- The festival highlights the guru–disciple (guru-shishya) tradition of Indian classical dance.
- It serves as a platform to promote India’s rich intangible cultural heritage through live performances.
- Major classical dance forms featured: Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Sattriya
Architectural Significance of the Solanki Era
- Built in 1026-27 CE by King Bhimdev I, the temple represents the pinnacle of Maru-Gurjara architectural style.
- The complex includes the Guda Mandap, the Sabha Mandap, and the elaborate Surya Kund stepped water tank.
