ISRO Signs 100th Technology Transfer with HAL

On 10th September, 2025, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), National Space India Limited (NSIL), Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe), and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) signed India’s 100th technology transfer agreement, enabling HAL to independently produce Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs).

  • The agreement, facilitated by IN-SPACe, formalizes SSLV technology transfer from ISRO to HAL over 24 months, including training, workforce preparation, and technical guidance to ensure flight readiness.
  • HAL will execute two missions under ISRO’s guidance as part of the program.
