SLINEX-25

  • From 14th–18th Aug 2025, India and Sri Lanka conducted a naval exercise named SLINEX-25.
  • This was the 12th edition of the exercise, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • The exercise was conducted in two phases – the harbour phase from 14th–16th Aug 2025 and the sea phase from 17th–18th Aug 2025.
  • Participating naval ships included India’s INS Rana (a guided-missile destroyer) and INS Jyoti (a fleet tanker), along with Sri Lanka’s Gajabahu and Vijayabahu (both advanced offshore patrol vessels).
  • The exercise was first launched in 2005.
