India-Seychelles Sign Nine Agreements

On 29th June 2026, India and Seychelles signed nine agreements to strengthen cooperation in digital payments, health, agriculture, maritime security, space and capacity building during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State Visit.

Key Agreements

  • Capacity Building: Expanded cooperation in skill development and institutional training.
  • Digital Payments: Agreed to introduce Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in Seychelles.
  • Health: Strengthened collaboration in healthcare services and medical cooperation.
  • Agriculture: Enhanced cooperation in agricultural development and food security.
  • Shipping: Promoted cooperation in maritime transport and shipping services.
  • Space: Expanded collaboration in space applications and technology.
