Successful Flight Tests of Akash-NG and MPATGM
On 21st and 23rd July, 2021, the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted two successful flight-tests of the New Generation Akash Missile (Akash-NG), a surface-to-air Missile, from Integrated Test Range (ITR) off the coast of Odisha. On 21st July, the Man Portable Antitank Guided Missile (MPATGM) was also successfully flight-tested by the DRDO.

- Developed By: Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad, in collaboration with other DRDO laboratories, has developed the Akash-NG missile system.
- Produced By: Production agencies of Akash-NG include Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).
