Extension of Digital Health Incentive Scheme
In June 2024, the central government extended the Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) until June 30, 2025, aiming to accelerate the digitization of patient health records and their integration with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Account (ABHA ID).

- DHIS, launched on January 1, 2023, will now remain in effect till June 30, 2025.
- Hospitals, clinics, labs, and pharmacies earn Rs 20 for each health record digitized beyond 100 transactions monthly, with incentives capped at Rs 4 crores per facility or digital solution company.
