International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure 2025
On 6-7 June 2025, the seventh International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI), hosted by the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), was held for the first time in Europe—in Nice, France—bringing together global leaders, experts, and policymakers to address the urgent need for climate-resilient infrastructure, particularly in coastal regions.
Why focus on coastal resilience?
- Coastal regions contribute $1.5 trillion to global GDP annually—a figure projected to double by 2030—making them economic and population hubs highly vulnerable to disasters.
- Nearly 37% of the global population lives within 100 km of coastlines, and these areas face disproportionate risks from sea-level rise, cyclones, ....
