Recently, Scientists have detected an unusually thick ozone layer 21-23 km above the North Bay of Bengal during a nationwide atmospheric study.
What Did Scientists Discover?
- Unusual Ozone Layer: The enhanced ozone layer appeared at 21–23 km altitude.
- Long Duration: The ozone enhancement remained for more than 24 hours.
- Day and Night: It was observed during both daytime and nighttime.
- Key Finding: Scientists linked the event mainly to ozone-rich air transport and downward air movement.
