Right to Trauma Care: Transforming Emergency Healthcare in India
Recently, the Supreme Court, in SaveLIFE Foundation & Anr. vs Union of India & Ors., recognised timely trauma care as an integral part of the Right to Life under Article 21 of the Constitution. The judgment establishes that the right extends from the site of injury to definitive hospital treatment and directs the Union and States to build an integrated trauma care system.
