Significance of Raigad Fort in Maratha History
On 6th December, 2021, the President visited the Raigad Fort in Maharashtra and paid tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at his samadhi.
He noted that character of Shivaji Maharaj has been described very effectively in the 19th century Sanskrit work 'Shivraj-Vijayah'.

Location
- Raigad is a hill fort situated in Mahad, Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. Its decisive feature is a mile and a half flat top which has adequate room for buildings.
