Sri Ramna Kali Mandir
On 17th December, 2021, President of India inaugurated the renovated Sri Ramna Kali Mandira - famous Hindu shrine in Dhaka that was destroyed by the Pakistani forces during the war of 1971.
About the Temple
- The Kali temple in the area is believed to have been built during the Mughal period by a Hindu sect.
- It is said that it was built by Haricharan Giri who was a mahant in the temple.
- The main temple was two storied. On its roof there was a 120 feet high pyramid shaped peak.
