India’s Zorawar Light Tank Hits Major Milestone
On 12th December 2024, India's Zorawar light tank achieved a key milestone by successfully firing rounds at high altitudes, bringing it closer to meeting the Indian Army's needs for high-mobility, high-altitude warfare.
- The light tank completed successful firing trials at an altitude of over 4,200 metres in Ladakh, marking a major step forward in its development.
- The Defence Ministry highlighted that the tank's performance will undergo additional user trials over the next 12 to 18 months, testing it in varying conditions such as summer, winter, and high-altitude environments.
