Doha Political Declaration Adopted at World Social Summit 2025
On 4th November 2025, global leaders at the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha adopted the Doha Political Declaration, reaffirming international commitment to social justice, inclusion, and sustainable development.
Key Highlights of the Declaration
- The Declaration renews global commitment to the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration and the 2030 Agenda, centring social development on poverty eradication, decent work for all, and social inclusion.
- It links social justice with peace, security, human rights, and climate action under the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement, reaffirming the Rio principles including common but differentiated responsibilities.
