World Hydrogen Summit 2025
On 20th May 2025, India presented its green hydrogen strategy and renewable energy achievements at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in Rotterdam, signalling its ambition to lead the global green hydrogen economy.
What is Green Hydrogen?
- Green hydrogen is generated by using renewable energy—such as solar power—or biomass gasification to split water into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) through electrolysis.
- It is used in fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), industrial applications like fertilizer production and oil refineries, as well as in transportation sectors including road and rail.
