India-Nordic Summit 2026: Key Outcomes and Strategic Significance
On 19th May 2026, Indian Prime Minister announced that India and the Nordic countries will upgrade their partnership into a Green Technology and Innovation Strategic Partnership during the 3rd India-Nordic Summit.
Highlights of the Meeting
- Strategic Partnership Upgrade: India and Nordic countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in green technology, sustainability, and innovation.
- Trade and Investment Growth: Trade between India and Nordic nations has increased four-fold over the past decade, while Nordic investments in India rose by around 200 per cent.
- Research Collaboration: Both sides agreed to strengthen partnerships among universities, laboratories, and start-up ecosystems for research and skill development.
