India’s First Fully Paperless Judiciary State

  • On 1st May 2026, Sikkim was recognised as India’s first state to implement a completely paperless judiciary, marking a major step in digital justice delivery.
  • The announcement was made by Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, at a National Conclave on Technology and Judicial Education in Gangtok.
