IUCN Council approves 48 New Member Organisations
On 4th May, 2026, the new Council of the International Union for Conservation of Nature approved the admission of 48 new member organisations during its first session after the IUCN World Conservation Congress held in Abu Dhabi.
- Five of the newly admitted organisations belong to the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean region.
- The International Union for Conservation of Nature is the world’s oldest and largest environmental network, comprising over 1,500 member organisations globally.
