Initiatives to Receive Remunerative Prices

  • This issue has two aspects, one relating to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the other relating to the farmer’s share in the price paid by the final consumer.
  • MSP for 22 Crops: Government hiked the MSP of 22 crops to a minimum of 50% over cost. It fulfills the commitment to the farmers to provide 50 per cent return over cost of production for the first time for all mandated crops.
