According to the recently published 2023 Global Water Monitor report, in 2023, over 77 countries faced the highest average annual temperatures in 45 years, affecting the global water cycle.
- The year 2023 marked the hottest on record globally, leading to disruptions in the water cycle, intensifying cyclones, exacerbating droughts, and increasing fire activity.
