India and the US to Co-Produce Sonobuoys
On 6th January 2025, India and the US announced their first-ever co-production partnership for US sonobuoys, which will enhance undersea domain awareness for the Indian Navy.
- Sonobuoys are acoustic sensors that detect underwater sounds and objects, and transmit that information to a ship or aircraft.
