India’s Biennial Update Report (BUR-4) Submission
On 30th December 2024, India submitted its latest Biennial Update Report (BUR-4) to the UNFCCC, highlighting progress on its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventory and climate action efforts.
- The BUR-4 updates the Third National Communication (TNC) and contains the National Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory for the year 2020.
- It provides an update on India’s greenhouse gas emissions, emission intensity reduction, and status of climate targets, with a special focus on India’s progress in meeting its climate commitments.
