Credit Assessment Model (CAM)
Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have sanctioned more than 3.96 lakh loan applications worth over Rs. 52,300 crore to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under a Credit Assessment Model (CAM) based on digital credit underwriting between April 1 and December 31, 2025.
- CAM aims at transforming loan appraisal for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
- The model leverages digitally sourced, verifiable data from across the financial ecosystem to enable automated, objective, and transparent loan evaluation.
- The purpose is to reduce dependence on third-party service providers for the same.
