Coal-bed Methane (CBM)
The unconventional natural gas known as CBM, which is created when plant material is converted into coal through the coalification process, can be found in coal deposits or coal seams.
- CBM is produced when coal and methane are converted in such a way that the coal becomes saturated with water and methane becomes trapped within the coal.
- Uses: Power generation, as CNG auto fuel, feedstock for fertilisers, industrial uses such as in cement production, rolling mills, steel plants, and for methanol production.
