Recently, the Central Government has launched the Framework for Voluntary Carbon Markets in the Agriculture Sector.
- The objective of this initiative is to enable small and medium farmers to benefit from Carbon Credits as well as encourage eco-friendly farming systems.
- A voluntary carbon market is a trading system where individuals and organizations can voluntarily buy and sell carbon credits to compensate for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
