In October 2024, the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2024 was released by Concern Worldwide and Welt Hunger Hilfe, highlights alarming global hunger levels.

  • The global GHI score is 18.3 (moderate), with 42 countries facing severe hunger.
  • The report warns that Zero Hunger by 2030 is unattainable, with projections extending hunger eradication to 2160.
