Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2024
The Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2024 was released in October 2024 with the theme “How Gender Justice Can Advance Climate Resilience and Zero Hunger.”
- The Global Hunger Index is published annually by Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilfe and tracks hunger levels worldwide.
- The Global Hunger Index score is calculated on a 100-point scale, where 0 represents no hunger and 100 represents extreme hunger.
- It is based on four key indicators: Undernourishment, Child Stunting, Child Wasting and Child Mortality
- The global GHI score for 2024 is 18.3, classified as moderate hunger.
