Global Water Monitor Report 2024
The ‘2024 Global Water Monitor Report’, was released on January 2, 2025 by an international team of researchers from Australian National University (ANU).
- According to the report, 2024 was hottest year on record; water cycle severely disrupted.
- Land temp up 1.2°C since 2000, 2.2°C since Industrial era.
- 38% rise in dry months, 52% rise in extreme rainfall events.
- Highest warm months frequency since 1979.
- 34 countries saw new temp records; 40 countries had extreme hot days.
