India’s Agriculture Export Policy
India’s agricultural exports declined by 8% in 2023-24, missing the $60 billion target set under the Agriculture Export Policy (AEP) 2018.
- Total exports stood at $48.9 billion, down from $53.2 billion in 2022-23, while imports also fell 8% to $32.8 billion.
- India ranked 9th globally in agricultural exports, with a 2.4% share in world trade (WTO Trade Statistical Review 2023).
