Operation Dronagiri
On November 13, 2024, Professor Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), launched Operation Dronagiri.
- This pilot initiative falls under the National Geospatial Policy 2022 and was inaugurated at the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi.
Key Highlights
- Objective: To demonstrate how geospatial technologies can enhance quality of life and ease of doing business.
- Pilot Phase: Initially implemented in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra across three sectors: Agriculture, Livelihoods and Logistics & Transport.
Integrated Geospatial Data Sharing Interface (GDI)
- Purpose: Facilitates seamless sharing and analysis of spatial data for applications such as urban planning, ....
