World Giving Index 2024

The World Giving Index (WGI) 2024 was released in August 2024 by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

  • The index assesses global generosity trends based on charitable giving, volunteering, and helping strangers.
    • The index includes 142 countries.
    • Indonesia is ranked as the most generous country in the world.
    • India ranks 26th globally in generosity.
    • The least generous countries in 2024 were Poland, Japan, Cambodia, and Lithuania.
