On 11th March 2026, ISA Foundation Day was celebrated in New Delhi.
- The International Solar Alliance now has 125 member and signatory countries.
- ISA was launched by India and France during COP21 in Paris in 2015.
- The initiative promotes global cooperation in solar energy deployment.
- ISA supports clean energy access in developing and emerging economies.
- Solar projects include solarised health centres and irrigation systems.
- The alliance also supports startups and innovation in renewable energy.
- India’s installed solar capacity has reached about 136 gigawatts.
