Successful Test of Agni-5
On August 20, 2025, India successfully tested the Agni-5 missile from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, Odisha, under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC).
- All operational and technical parameters were validated. This marks the continuous enhancement of India’s long-range ballistic capabilities.
Agni-5: Key Specifications
- The Government of India describes Agni-5 as an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM); officially, it has a strike range of up to 5,000 km.
- It is equipped with advanced guidance systems that provide high accuracy. The missile is powered by a three-stage solid-fuel rocket.
