International Big Cat Alliance: India’s Global Conservation Leadership
Big cats like tigers, lions, and leopards are vital keystone species, but face severe threats from habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. India is a global conservation leader, home to 75% of the world's wild tigers and significant populations of other big cats, thanks to long-standing initiatives like Project Tiger (1973).
