Mission Vatsalya
Recently, the Ministry of Women and Child Development directed the Child Welfare and Protection Committees (CW&PC) at village level to identify the children who are eligible for support.
- These children include orphans, street children, and those in difficult circumstances.
- These children will be facilitated under the sponsorship component of Mission Vatsalya Scheme.
About Mission Vatsalya
- It was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2021-22 as a revamped version of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), which was started in 2010.
