Telecom Sector
India's telecommunication sector, now the second-largest globally, serves over 1.19 billion subscribers, boasts ~85% tele-density, and supports 4+ million jobs. In FY24–25, it contributed roughly 6–6.5% of GDP, driven by 5G deployment, expanding broadband, and significant equipment exports.
