Provincialisation Management System (PMS) Portal
On 18th February 2026, Assam Chief Minister launched the Provincialisation Management System (PMS) portal to address the long-pending issue of provincialisation of venture educational institutions.
- The portal will streamline, monitor and process applications from non-provincialised venture schools and colleges and their teaching and non-teaching staff.
- It operates under the Assam Education (Provincialisation of Services of Teachers and Re-Organisation of Educational Institutions) Act, 2017, as amended in 2025.
- The PMS portal creates a centralised database of venture institutions and staff, aiming to enhance transparency and reduce irregularities.
- This marks the third and most comprehensive phase of provincialisation, covering LP, UP/ME, high schools, higher secondary schools ....
