Sharda Riverfront Project – Champawat
On 7th February 2026, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone of the Sharda river corridor at Tanakpur in Champawat district.
- This marks the start of a major plan to develop infrastructure and promote tourism in the region.
- He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several other projects.
- CM stated that development within a 200-kilometre radius of the area will bring prosperity, increase livelihoods and create employment for youth, women and local traders.
