Uttarakhand Crosses 1 GW Solar Capacity

Recently, Uttarakhand surpassed 1 gigawatt (GW) of installed solar power capacity, with total installations reaching over 1,027.87 MW.

  • The achievement strengthens the state’s clean energy transition, sustainable development goals and energy self-reliance.
  • Around 397 MW has come from ground-mounted solar projects.
  • 241 MW has been installed through rooftop systems under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
  • 137 MW has been added under the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme.
  • 110 MW has been installed through commercial net metering.
  • 51 MW has come from captive solar plants.
  • 37 MW has been generated through canal-top and canal-bank solar ....
