Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2024
On 22nd October, 2024, the government notified new amendments to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Rules to streamline the process of obtaining disability certificates and Unique Disability Identity (UDID) cards, aimed at improving services for persons with disabilities.

- UDID Portal Application: Individuals with specified disabilities can now apply for disability certificates and UDID cards through the UDID Portal, by submitting applications to district medical authorities or medical facilities where they are treated.
