Amendment to Marriage Rules for Foreigners
- On 13th October 2025, the Uttarakhand government approved a major amendment to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
- Under this, citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet can register their marriages by obtaining a certificate from the Foreigners Registration Officer, even without an Aadhaar card.
